Rainbow bright is right with this weeks trigger!! I love rainbows! LOVE THEM. The more color the better in my book.
I’m late again this week originally I wanted to incorporate rainbow-colored stitching in my design. I’ve had a sewing machine for years and have yet to use it so I figured now would be as good a time as any. I printed out some instructions off the internet, cleaned off the dust and set to work trying to thread the needle. Somehow I broke a piece off the machine in the process dang! Had to resort to plan B which was supposed to be accomplished yesterday but a surprise bout of food poisoning laid me up all day so today it is!
To create this card I used Kraft card stock for the base. I used a piece of blue shimmer cardstock and layered strips of colored card stock for the rainbow. The sun and sun rays were created with yellow shimmer card stock. I used a daisy, scallop and circle punch to create the sun. The clouds were made with white shimmer card stock and cut with a fancy label die. I brushed Broken China distress ink on the edges and wrote out the sentiment by hand. I used a rainbow of Distress inks for my stamping Fired Brick, Dried Marigold, Peeled Paint, Mustard Seed, and Broken China. All of the stamps are from Stampers Anonymous Grunge Cirque set. I truly love this set it is so versatile and makes it easy to add color and texture to any project.
Thanks for coming by today…I wish you all a day filled with sunshine and rainbows! Head over to Moxie Fab to play along
