I had a fantastic artful weekend at Art is You in Stamford! On Friday night I got to meet some of my favorite Artists and have dinner with some of the Designers and Creative team members of Stencil Girl. Today I want to “Share the Love” and introduce you to the creative ladies and gents I met at Art is You! Some of them you may already know and if you don’t you’ll want to get to know them once you see the amazing artwork they have to share
Stencil Girl Stencils are artist designed stencils and WOW! What a wonderful bunch of artists they are! You can check out all the fabulous designs and shop by Artist HERE. If you need project inspiration for how to use your Stencil Girl Stencils swing by the Stencil Girl Talk Blog for oodles of tutorials and creative stenciling ideas.
First up on the list of inspiring Stencil Girl Artists is Seth Apter of The Altered Page. Seth is an extremely talented Mixed-Media artist and just as nice as he is creative! I was so excited to meet him in person at Art is You.
I love Seth’s designs for Stencil Girl and grabbed this one on Friday night while visiting his classroom. I can’t wait to use it on my Globe Project.

If there is any artist who knows how to “Share the Love” it’s Seth Apter. His new book “The Mixed Media Artist” (available for pre-order HERE) features the work of 30 different Mixed-Media artists! You can learn more about the Artists in Seth’s blog series 30 Artists 30 Days and enter to win a copy of the book simply by leaving a comment. Interact with the artists of “The Mixed Media Artist” at the Twitter Book Launch Party tomorrow October 16 2013 9-10 EST .
Marjie Kemper is super inspiring in the way she flings ink and paint! She sure knows her way around a stencil and always amazes me with her stenciling techniques. It’s no surprise with her stenciling prowess that Stencil Girl snatched her up as a creative team member.
I’ve known Marjie for a while through blogging and have taken a few of Marjie’s classes. Art is You was the first time we got to “hangout” outside of blogland and the classroom…what fun! It’s because of her that I got to meet all the lovely ladies from Stencil Girl. Thanks Marjie!
Marjie made these ATC Tickets as Trades for Art is You in her amazing inky style. Click the link below for her tutorial using Stencil Girl Stencils.
Jessica is as delightful in person as her artwork. Her Stencil Girl Designs are oh so creative and you are guaranteed to want some for your creative projects. Stop by Jessica Sporn Designs for all kinds of inky inspiration, illustrations, and mixed-media tutorials like this one that I absolutely LOVE!
I never met a rainbow I didn’t like and this Rainbow Canvas with Jessica’s stencils from Stencil Girl is no exception! Click the link below for a full tutorial and video.
I became an admirer of Carolyn Dube’s work when I started participating in Art Journal Everyday. I love her colorful approach to art and her way with words when it comes to explaining her process. You will see what I mean when you check out her latest tutorial using her own line of Stencil Girl Stencils.

Maria McGuire of Believe-Dream-Create with Maria is yet another creative genius on the list of Stencil Girl Designers. Maria has thinking outside the box down to a science!
This beautiful Journal page is just a sneak peek of how Maria’s creative mind works. Just wait till you see the rest. A real feast for the eyes I tell you!
Judy is a Stencil Girl Creative team member, mixed-media and polymer clay artist. You can see Judy’s fabulous work at The Key to my Art... like this amazing Journal. You won’t believe how she created this. Creative with a capital C!! Click the link below or the picture to check out Judy’s awesome tutorial.
Last but certainly not least is the oh so talented Kirsten Reed. She has a softness to her style that I adore. You can find mixed-media tutorials to create your own art like this gorgeous canvas on Kirsten’s Blog Keystrokes and Kaleidoscopes.
She also has mixed-media and fine art available at Kirsten Reed Designs
Grab a cuppa and browse the Kirsten Reed Mixed-Media Gallery where you will find beautiful works of art like this. You’ll want one for every wall in your home…I know I do
