Share the Love {Inspiring Art Blogs}

by Amy Bowerman

Hey everyone!  Hope you have all had a wonderful weekend.  I’ve been busy catching up with some of my favorite art blogs.  I’ve found plenty of inspiration and even some new discoveries along the way.  Today I want to share those discoveries with you so you can see what my creative friends have been up to.  Prepare to be inspired!

Share the Love {Inspiring Art Blogs} First stop on the inspiration train is Marjie Kemper.  Marjie’s art work is full of vibrant colors and layer upon layer of inky goodness!  I’ve been so fortunate to be able to see Marjie in action and learn some of her layering techniques in person (if you missed the journal pages I created in one of Marjie’s classes you can check it out HERE).

Marjie’s latest Tag tutorial is a must see!  Stop by her blog to see for yourself all the stamping and inking tricks she used to create this artful tag!

Tag Tutorial by Marjie Kemper Speaking of “Sharing the Love”, In addition to learning new inking techniques on my visit to Marjie’s blog I also discovered another art blogger who really knows how to “Share the LOVE!”  (Thanks Marjie!)

Meet Seth Apter of the Altered Page.  Seth is a mixed media artist, author and instructor.  A visit to Seth’s blog is like uncovering a treasure trove of artistic inspiration!  What’s even better is that he wants to help all of us Art Bloggers share our own artistic treasures with his annual “Buried Treasure” Blog Hop

Buried Treasure Blog Hop hosted by Seth Apter (The Altered Page) The treasure hunt begins on June 12 so stop by the Altered Page and leave a comment for Seth to let him know you are down for the get down!

Next we have my dear friend Shahrul Niza of Such Pretty Canvas.  Shahrul never ceases to amaze me with her arty adventures.  If we were not separated by continents we would be thrifting and creating together daily :)  The little dear has sent me two of her magnificent creations that I keep on display in my studio.  All I have to do is glance at her creations to feel inspired.

You will want to take more than a glance at Shahrul’s latest creative venture!  It’s so beautiful I can barely contain myself …the stitching the texture…oh my!  Stop by Such Pretty Canvas for more gorgeous photos and step by steps.

Another one of my favorite Artists I’m happy to call a friend… the lovely and talented Anita Houston AKA The Artful Maven!  Anita is the guest designer for The Artistic Stamper this month and is showcasing some fantastic stamps you will want to get your ink on with (I know I do).

Up up and away! by Anita Houston This is just a sneaky peek of Anita’s wonderful, whimsical “Steampunkish” canvas.  Be sure to click-through to see all the glorious details and step by steps at The Artful Maven Haven.

I wish I had time to share every blog I’ve been inspired by.  This is just a “taste” of all the inspiration that is out there!  I hope you will join in the fun for Seth Apter’s Buried Treasure Blog Hop.  I’m looking forward to finding creative treasure and Sharing the Art blog love!

Share the love today!
