Once again I was inspired by the trigger photo at Moxie Fab for this paper flower arrangement and of course all the fabulous cards and creations created by other Moxie Fabbers.
I was also inspired by this photo found on Pinterest: Carved Crayons- Pete Goldlust (this was my first pin and I’ve been hooked ever since)
Aren’t these crayons just AMAZING!!! I <3 Pinterest!!…and Rainbows of course!! I’ve been dying to make some rainbow paper flowers and I needed a teacher gift so the two kind of went hand in hand.
I chose this container because the teacher who will be receiving these paper flowers is a HUGE Pac Man fan…HUGE! I thought it kind of resembled the dot gobbling yellow guy. I had wanted to use some gamer inspired patterned paper but couldn’t find any at the craft store. With out any time to order online I had to improvise. I found some specialty card stock from Me & My Big Ideas (Airmail) which had a nice retro 80′s feel to it and all the colors I was looking for. I wanted this arrangement to be bold and graphic much like the 8-bit icons of the early gaming era. I left some holes in the arrangement so I can add some Pac-man inspired wire sculptures later so stay tuned for that.
A birds eye view of all sorts of color! Oh what cheerful, colorful, fun!
Red flowers, orange flowers, yellow flowers….

Like the journal you made your friend, but LOVED the flowers. What die did you use to make these?
Hi Jane..the die I used is ‘Kilgor Daisies’ from Sizzix.
Do you have a place where I can get instructions on the flowers?? I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the smily face cup of flowers – how cheery and bright that would be in my office!!!! Great job and thanks for sharing it!!
Hi Cindy…i pretty much have taught myself how to make these flowers through a LOT of trial and error. I started making them a year ago with a simple hand punch and so many people wanted them I had to buy a die cutting machine. From there they just kind of evolved I definitely want to start working on a tutorial…just not so sure when it will be done. I need one myself because I forget how I made certain flowers and have to keep a bunch of arrangements around as a reference..lol. I’ll keep you posted.
Hey Amy! Thanks for linking this up to this week’s Tuesday Trigger in the Moxie Fab World! I’m so glad you joined in on all the fun!
They’re stunning Amy!
