Octopode Factory Christmas Cards

by Amy Bowerman

Just a quick post for me today….sooooo much left to do before Christmas!!  This week at TOFF our challenge is Christmas (naturally).  I have created *gasp* not one but two cards…oh my gosh she made a card!!  I had a great helper for the second card :)  Here is the Octopode Factory Christmas card I created with my FAVORITE Rudolph and Clarabelle images from Lily’s Etsy shop.

Merry and Bright

The images were colored with Copic Markers and mounted on Grunge paper with Mod Podge.  The card base is Core’dinations Color Core card stock from the Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Collection.  The glitter card stock is also from Core’dinations Core Couture Glitter collection.

My 6-year-old son was the mastermind behind the second card.  He wanted to make a card for his Kindergarten teacher and since he loves the Octopode Factory images “Mommy is ALWAYS coloring”  I decided to let him choose some of his own to color.

Merry Christmas Teacher

He chose the Gingerbread house and Baby Rudy and a few of my pre-colored images from the Octopode Factory Snowglobe I made last week.  The images were layered on Coredinations Kraft Core Cardstock….after I gave him a long overdue lesson in stamping and embossing.

Merry Christmas

I was very impressed with his penmanship and especially the Christmas pattern he used for his lettering!  It looks like the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree after all!

I hope you will join in all the Christmas Cheer at TOFF!!  Why not bring the kids into the mix?  Octopode Factory images are sure to be a hit with kids of all ages :)  Lily has a Christmas gift for you all on her blog…a lovely freebie digi so be sure to stop by!  I’ll be back in a bit to show you what I’ve made with the new digi….till next time!!

Have a Happy Happy Holiday!!
