My sister is expecting her first child and I have worked tirelessly on invitations, decorations, and everything in between for her Elephant themed Baby Shower. Today I have one of the “In Betweens” to share with you…a mini album! This is my first mini album ever. I felt this album fit in perfectly with Kraft Journal “Celebrations” challenge and Simon Says Stamp “Anything Goes”.
The cover of the mini album was created from Kraft paper and mounted on grunge board. Scraps left over from a Pennant Banner I made previously, using “Hopscotch Boy” patterned paper from K&Company decorate the inside.
I finally found a use for the vintage index cards I had hanging around. They wound up being the perfect color match for my Sister’s theme. I even saved myself a step from having to use Distress Inks on them as they were already aged to perfection! The cute combination of Elephant stamps from Hero Arts leave just enough space for shower guests to leave words of wisdom for the new Mom.
Grunge paper covered with my favorite vintage lined paper was stamped with Peeled paint Distress ink and Ranger Archival ink in Sepia. The images were cut with my new Tonic Scissors…goodness why did it take me so long to snag a pair of these babies? They are Fabulous!!
Letter tiles were created from scraps of grunge mounted lined paper and stamped with my favorite letter set “Fanciful Swirls” also from Hero Arts. The clothesline effect was created using twine from my stash and white wrapped floral wire that was brushed with Distress ink. I twisted the wire around the twine and snipped as close as possible to make the wire look like clothespins. A decorative label with star brads and coordinating ribbons on the binder ring finish off the design.
Thanks for stopping by today I will have much more to share over the next few days so stay tuned for more Baby Shower designs.
Have an Elephantastic day!

My goodness, how cute! You did an amazing job on your first ever mini album! Love the cover. The banner is amazing and I love the little animals and the tree. Such a perfect use for those vintage cards, too. Your sister is going to adore this!
Any project that starts with kraft is headed in the right direction! I love the rustic appeal of this mini album and I know she will be thrilled to have a little brag book to fill right away!
