Happy Friday Everyone! Today on Featured Product Friday I’m sharing one of my favorite products of all time. Not just one product, an entire line of products! So what’s it going to be this time around on Featured Product Friday? *Drum roll please* It’s Tim Holtz Alterations Sizzix Line *Cue music and angel choir*
Today I’ll be showing you all the elements from Tim Holtz Alterations Sizzix Line that I have and use (profusely). At the end of the post I have a fantastic collection of projects from creative friends and others I found while scouring the interwebs that are sure to inspire you!
Tim’s Alterations line with Sizzix has a variety of components that work together or on their own. The other great thing about this fine collection from Tim Holtz is how easy it is to use with your favorite creative techniques. Whatever medium you enjoy working with (paint, paper, metal, jewelry etc.) you can combine elements from Tim’s Alterations line with your go to techniques and materials.
Don’t take my word for it, just wait till you see the creative projects I’ve found around the web! I discovered so many ways to use Alterations during my research and boatloads of techniques to go along with it. Be sure to check out the link list at the end of this post I guarantee you will learn something new
The Bigz Dies in the Alterations Sizzix line are some of my favorites. Tim brings his signature style to his line of dies but leaves a world of possibilities open to those who create with them to add their own artistic flair! I bought my Sizzix machine because of the Alterations Bigz Dies.
I’ll have more projects coming soon using newly released Alterations Movers and Shapers dies. My friend Linda at The Funkie Junkie Boutique is having a 15% off sale on Movers and Shapers all week so stop by her shop. I adore The Funkie Junkie Boutique it is by far my favorite online shop and I know you will love it too
This is a great video from Tim Holtz where he explains ALL about Movers and Shapers and On the Edge dies.
If I had to play favorites with all the elements in the Tim Holtz Alterations line I would have to pick Texture Fades! I love them love them love them! Did I mention I love them? I rarely create a project without Texture Fades they are just so much fun to use and like the rest of the Alterations line can be used on a variety of materials.
Here I have used many different Texture Fades on materials like Copper, Packaging Plastic, Foil Tape, Sticky-back canvas, and Idea-ology mirrored sheets.
One of my favorite materials to use Texture Fades on is Foil Tape. You can see all the details in this Got Ink? Storage Crate tutorial.
Here’s another great video from Tim Holtz explaining all about Texture fades.
The embossing diffuser just arrived courtesy of The Funkie Junkie the other day. I must say I’m a fan!
Here I have used the Embossing Diffusers on Stamped Sticky Back canvas and foil tape…Fun!
Here’s a great video from Jennifer Mcguire showing how to use Embossing Diffusers.
Isn’t it amazing how much you can do with Tim Holtz Alterations Sizzix Line? I loved everything about it before but I must say I’m even more in love now! I’ve learned so many things I had no idea could be done while researching for this post!
I’ll have more Alterations projects and tutorials to share with you soon so stay tuned! In the meantime check out the list of amazing projects below and prepare to be inspired!
Don’t forget to stop by the The Funkie Junkie to save 15% on Movers and Shapers…all of the items in Linda’s shop are extremely reasonable and she has such a great selection of hard to find products.
