Featured Product Friday : Dylusions Stamps

by Amy Bowerman

Happy Friday creative friends!  So glad you stopped by for Featured Product Friday.  This weeks featured product hails from one of my favorite designers Dyan Reaveley.  Dyan’s Dylusions line from Ranger Ink is filled with fabulous ink sprays, stencils and stamps!  I’ve talked about all the things you can make with Dylusions Spray Inks here, but today I want to talk about Dylusions stamps!

Featured Product Friday : Dylusions Stamps | Pluckingdaisies.com Dyan’s Dylusions Stamps  are just as whimsical and wonderful as she is!  Seriously I wish I could put her in my pocket and take her with me every where I go.  She seems like the type of person that can always make you smile!

Dylusions Stamps are extremely versatile.  Dyan has designed each set to be interchangeable with other sets in the Dylusions stamp line.   From borders, phrases, art words, backgrounds and whimsical characters their really is something for everyone with Dylusions Stamps.   Recently, Dyan released Dylusions Couture Clear Stamps.  These stamps are like high fashion paper dolls for grown ups!

My favorite set of Dylusions stamps is “Right Up Your Street”  I have a weakness for whimsical row houses and these little darlings make me “weak” in the knees!

STEP 1:  Stamp a border around your journal page with Dylusions stamps (any set will do) in Jet Black Archival Ink.

*TIP* Try flipping stamps upside down or on the side to keep the width of your border even.

STEP 2:  Use a water brush filled with Dylusions (I used Calypso Teal) to add color to your border.

*TIP*  Dipping your brush in water will lighten the colors.  Have fun playing around with light and dark tones!

STEP 3:  Fill in the middle of your page with Distress Stain. (I used Metallic Distress Stains)

STEP 4:  Add an image to the center of your page and frame it with tissue tape.  If you missed the Featured Product Friday post on Tissue Tape you can check it out here.
