Springtime Paper Flowers

by Amy Bowerman

I discovered this challenge while working on another challenge and since making paper flowers has become my latest passion I had to play along.  I must thank the girls on the Fab ‘n’ funky design team for creating this challenge as I have a basement FULL of blooms in progress and this challenge inspired me to finally complete one.

I absolutely  adore making paper flowers!  My style has evolved quite a bit since I began making them a year ago.  They take a lot of time and patience but the end results are well worth it!  They are sooo cheerful don’t you think?

Spring has Sprung!

Making paper flowers has fueled my addiction to buttons…I can never have enough!  I probably spend too much time with my button and bead selection but I just love playing around with different shapes and color combinations.  My camera skills are lacking but I tried to take a few closeups to show the button and beading detail.

Novelty buttons are so hard for me to resist due to their cute factor.  I love being able to incorporate them into a paper flower design (when it works).  The vibrant, shimmering patterns on the paper seemed like a perfect background to showcase these itty bitty bug buttons…plus they work well with the overall springtime theme.  The good thing is these buggers don’t spread any pollen around and the house stays sneeze free!

Those are amazing. I also love to make flowers but so far have just used them on cards. Thanks for the inspiration. I just became a follower of your blog. And thanks for playing along at Crafty Creations.
