Hi guys! I have returned from CHA show and am really missing sunny California. In any event I’ll be sharing several CHA show recap’s over the course of the week. I have waaay too much CHA goodness to share with you for just one post! Today I’ll be showing you what went on in the Sizzix booth and the Artist Trading Block workshop taught by Eileen Hull and myself.
Booth #633 was where I spent a good part of my time at CHA. I’m not great with direction (if you spin me around in a circle I don’t know where I am…true story) so I was happy for this giant “Sizzix Booth #633” floor marker as a reminder to turn right.
The venue where the show was held was lovely. This photo doesn’t do it justice but those fountains light up rainbow colors and the light show continues with lights imbedded into a winding path. This was quite the sight after dark. A rainbow fountain? I’d say that’s right up my “alley”
Being an East Coast girl I don’t get to see many palm trees. I was delighted to be greeted by this tropical forest upon leaving the airport on arrival.
When I arrived at the Sizzix booth to set up the Artist Trading Block display I received yet another delightful surprise…look who made the Sizzix Catalog….yours truly! Not only that but Sizzix gave me a shout out in the Press release about Artist Trading Blocks. You can check it here on PR Web.
I hadn’t seen some of the ATB’s that were created for the show as many of our contributors were attending and brought them along. Seeing them all together was a real feast for the eyes! Can you say Eye Candy?
Behold the all walks of Art ATB display! So many people commented on how wonderful it was to see all the different styles of Artist Trading Block art. The ATB wall was a popular photo opp at CHA.
We set out a few blocks on the demo table during the rep meeting and the picture snapping continued. A few of these blocks had just arrived back from Sizzix headquarters where they were filmed in a video! Look at those ATB’s gettin’ all famous and stuff.
Here’s me mid-demo on opening day of CHA. It looks like I’m taking a breath before launching into my schpeel about the awesome artistic opportunities that you will discover with Artist Trading Blocks.
Here’s a peek at some of the fun goodies our workshop attendees received.
No wonder there was a line
Not the best picture, but look I’m an Art Teacher!
I love sharing my tips and tricks here at Plucking Daisies with you guys. It was really cool to be able to share some of my tips in person. Some things just can’t be captured with a photo.
The attendees at our workshop wowed me with their block rockin’ skills! The class was only 2 hours and part of that was spent listening to Eileen and I talk about her new Cherished line and The ATB movement at large. It just goes to show you how fun and easy Artist Trading Blocks are to create.
All in all we had a fabulous time at CHA showcasing Artist Trading Blocks with Sizzix. I’ll be sharing my top product picks and the great people I met at CHA 2014 later this week.
Have an inspired day!
