CHA bound with Artist Trading Blocks

by Amy Bowerman

Hi Guys!  Man what a whirlwind of Holidays and CHA  prep it has been!  The CHA show starts on Friday and I am leaving for my cross-country trip in just a few hours!  Can’t believe it is finally here!     I have a lot of balls in the air now between CHA prep and the launch of The Artists on the Block.  All busy-ness aside  I wanted to let you all know what I’m up to before I go :)

The Artists on the Block | @ArtTheBlock #TheATB

This was the FINAL sample I created for CHA show and it’s the one I am most proud of.  The concept of the ATB movement has been founded on inspiring others to awaken the artist within, by exploring, sharing and discovering the joy of creating.   Anyone CAN be an artist!  It’s true.  That is what we at the Artists on the Block are on a mission to prove.  Whenever I create Artist Trading Blocks my creativity just flows from a seemingly endless fountain.  They tell my story without me having to say a word and this block tells the story of what the ATB is all about and why Eileen and I started this movement.

I have been an “artist” in my mind all my life.    Ever since the ATB movement started I have experienced a creative awakening.  I’m trying new things and rediscovering the joy I felt as a child when I first got my hands on that coveted box of 64 crayola crayons (with the sharpener…you know how I like my crayons pointy :)).  I’ve been so inspired by all the other  artists who have contributed to the ATB and I am so thankful to have the opportunity to not just be a part of but START this creative movement with Eileen Hull and her amazing Sizzix dies.

I hope to see you at CHA this week and if not don’t worry I will be bringing you a full report when I return.  You can stay in the know about whats going on at CHA without leaving home by following me and the Artists on the Block on social media.  Stop by The Artists on the Block to learn more about what The ATB has in store for CHA Eileen Hull and I have some BIG things in store for the show!

Have an inspired day!
