Artist Trading Blocks Preview

by Amy Bowerman

Exciting news friends!  I’m working with Eileen Hull and Sizzix to start the next big thing in crafting and creating.  What’s this you ask?  Artist Trading Blocks aka ATB.  You may have seen early versions of the ATB created on wood but our version of the ATB is new, improved and a total game changer for all your creative adventures!  Come along and I’ll show you what it means to be an “Artist on the Block”!

Unlike Tags and ATC’s Artist trading blocks allow you to create in 3-D!  Why show only one side of your creativity when you can express yourself with multidimensional style?   With Eileen Hull’s (soon to be released) Scoreboards Block dies you can showcase your creative side inside and out on an ATB!

Large ATB/Bank Block (soon to be released)

With five different sized blocks to cut and create with  the creative possibilities are truly endless!  Use them for swaps, make and takes, mini-albums, or artful boxes to package small gifts.  How cool would it be to swap ATB’s and add a trinket or two from your stash as a nice surprise for your swap partner?

Block Trio Large (soon to be released)

With the soon to be released Blocks Trio die you can create three different sized Artist Trading Blocks with one die!  Stack them as a set or divide them up.  No matter what your artistic style is ATB’s are the perfect project to create, collect and share.

Artist trading blocks are coming and we want YOU to join this creative movement!  Eileen and I will be demoing in the Sizzix Booth at the 2014 CHA Show in January.  We are also teaching a technique packed Artist Trading Block Sizzix class at the show.  If you will be attending CHA in January we would love to have you join us.  Registration is open NOW and you can sign up HERE.

Here’s a fun sneak preview from Eileen Hull so you can see the ATB’s in action  and other fun ways to create with this innovative new Sizzix die!

We are also looking for designers to create some samples to be displayed in class and in the Sizzix booth at CHA.  If you would like to show your unique style on an ATB Email me:  Amy (at) Pluckingdaisies (dot) com with your shipping info and I will send you some cuts.  We can’t wait to see what you create and have you join the ATB  movement with us!

If you can’t wait till January to get your ATB on Eileen has a previously released block die that you can use and get to creating your own Artist Trading Blocks right now!  You can Find Eileen’s original Block Scoreboard’s die HERE.

Have an ATB Day!

Amy*

PS  I will have tutorials for all the Artist Trading Blocks show above after the show.  Hope to see you at CHA!
