Hello my lovelies! I had the pleasure of spending the weekend with some wonderful and talented creative ladies at the SNAP! conference. Some of the girls I had never met before and others I only knew from the blogosphere. When meeting another creative for the first time the customary introduction is “What kind of art do you do?” Every time I was asked this question my reply was, “I do a lot of Alice in Wonderland Art.” This morning as I sipped my coffee and contemplated my next post I realized that indeed I have done a lot of Alice in Wonderland Art yet have never shown it all in one place!
Today I’ll be sharing some of my favorite Alice in Wonderland Art pieces. I’ve designed for The Altered Alice for a little over a year now and have accumulated quite a collection of Alice inspired art work. It’s been a fantastic journey. Come along with me down the rabbit hole and go back to the beginning…until we get to the end.
I have created many Alice in Wonderland projects over the past year and a half….too many to share in one post. I’m sharing my favorites today. A top Ten if you will. Each project features a step by step tutorial. I’ve provided links to all my tutorials beneath the pictures so you can create Alice in Wonderland art of your own!
First we have the Alice Dresser. This is my largest altered art project to date, my masterpiece and my personal favorite project. Click on the link below for step by step tutorials on how I created each drawer.
I adore this tiny tea-table. It sits in my living room with a whimsical planter resting upon it. Click the link for more closeup photos and step by steps.
Wondering where I found such a tiny table setting for Alice and the White rabbit? Psst….it’s retro Barbie furniture I had as a child. I may be too big for Barbie and her dream house but you’re never to big to get your altered art on….Alice style!
Alice in Wonderland Miniature Tea Party
These tags are a more recent project. You’ll definitely want to check out the Tim Holtz technique I used to create these 3 dimensional Alice in Wonderland Character tags.
My first Design Team project for the Altered Alice was this Altered Tea Set featuring the Mad Tea Party Scene and the March Hare.
Would you believe my Mother was planning to pitch the copper kettle? Put the tea-pot down and back away slowly! All it needs is a little love from wonderland!
Have you ever seen a Mad Hatter on a leaf before? Stop by and see the rest of his friends from Wonderland and how I immortalized them all on real fall leaves to create a Tree only found in Wonderland!
Croquet anyone? There’s much more than Mr. Hedgehog and Floyd the glitterblasted flamingo in my Alice in Wonderland Garden.
You can’t have a proper Alice in Wonderland Garden without an Alice inspired Cinder block garden wall to complement said garden now can you?
Why should the outdoors have all the fun? You can bring the fun and whimsy of Wonderland into your home with creative planters. My houseplants are delighted to be “living” in Wonderland.
Last but certainly not least, my very first Alice in Wonderland Art project EVER! These tiny Alice in Wonderland Character Tea Cups landed me a spot on The Altered Alice design team.
Thanks for traveling down the rabbit hole with me today and taking a look at my Alice in Wonderland Art. It gets curiouser and curiouser!
If you can’t get enough Alice in Wonderland Art in your life check out my Altered Alice pinboard....Alice in wonderland Art abounds here!
Need inspiration for your next Alice in Wonderland Art project? I have a board for that! My Oh So Alice pinboard features prints, pictures and all kinds of curious Alice related things.
